Shailene Woodley, an American actress and activist. Woodley became famous for her performance as Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is who is suffering from addiction to drugs on The Descendants. Following her awe-inspiring role on The Descendants, she came to the stage with a variety of other roles which showed her capability to portray challenging roles effortlessly. Shailene gained a prominent spot early on in her film career. This is in itself an impressive feat. After beginning her career with television shows and commercials she moved on to important part in Hollywood films. She has won numerous awards for her exceptional acting, including MTV Movie Awards. Other prestigious awards such as the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards are also awarded to her. Shailene is an actress for many years, but she's also an active environmentalist. Together with her mother, Shailene Woodley founded All it Takes a non for profit group in the year 2010. She was awarded with the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award at the 20th Anniversary Global Green Environmental Awards as co-founder of the All it Takes organization.
