Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd went on to improve upon her victory on the night of Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. After that, she went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo ahead of a match against Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia lost to Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to win against Roma Pawelek, taking her score to eight-1. Aspen turned professional in the year 2015. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina by a ground and pound win in the 2nd Round. Ladd continued to dominate with a stunning win in her next bout against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger within the first minute as well as a win of the evening bonus. Her first major fight came when she fought her second opponent in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd won by unanimous decision. The two fighters each received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds in order to stop her winning streak. Following a brief break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In her most recent fight with the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. Her loss was an unanimous decision.
